Component Engineer

Job Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and make recommendation on usage of components.
• Perform component failure analysis.
• Work with vendors on sourcing activities and improved parts performance.
• Liaise with Head Office on component related matters.
• Co-ordinate on samples request and in circuit test evaluation
• Assist Engineers in alternative replacement parts to solve production problems and parts obsolescence.
• Support MQ department and sub-contractors on components related issues.
• Carrying out activities  in-line with corporate direction, such as preferred vendors' selection and reduced part types usage.

Requirements:

• Has strong analytical skills and an aptitude for problem solving.
• Customer-focused and task oriented.
• Has strong analytical
• Skills and an aptitude for problem solving and Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Knowledge of wide variety of component sources and latest technologies
• High degree of technical competence, creativity and analytical skills.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Six Sigma and Quality Systems knowledge.
• High Energy and innate desire to delight internal, external customers.
• Good Honors Degree in Electrical/ Electronics Engineering.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience.
